Who I Am

Hey, I’m Jacob and I’m the founder of EVSGuide.com.

Let me tell you a few things about me and what I do in my free time. By nature, I’m geeky and always want to be updated on the latest tech going on. I love to listen to podcasts and binge-watch.

There is a very interesting journey behind starting this blog. But before I start my story let me tell you what I do for living and what’s my future plans with EV’s Guide. I’m a corporate boy who works as a software engineer at Mid-Size IT solution company. I was living in austin but for job I had to shift to New York in 2022, September.

How I Started EV’s Guide (Story Behind This)

So, it all started while I was going to my office. As usual, office hours suck; too much traffic, total congestion, air filled with exhaust fumes, and car honking all these things made my mind sick. And then what I saw made my mind boom: a guy going to the office on his e-bike by zipping zapping bustling city street effortlessly. And I was Like why it didn’t come to my mind at first place and that day even in office I was researching for Electric scooter & bike whichever suits me.

So, on saturday I went to nearest cycle store bought my first e-bike which was KBO Tornado.

While purchasing one for myself, I researched to find the perfect one for me and I don’t know how, but I started loving this task. Whenever I heard someone talking about e-bikes or e-scooters and they were planning to buy, I gave my inputs and surprisingly, it helped them. Later, I realised it gave me some kind of kick and felt so good.

After Helping 10+ people near me, it has become my hobby and I didn’t realize that time but when I tested 10-15 electric bikes and electric scooters accumulative then I realize, no I should help more people through blog.

I know, now many of you might be thinking why I started a blog not Youtube channel? Because I’m afraid of online hate & trolls plus camera shy. I can’t handle it and it thus affects my mental health. So, I find blogging is perfect for me.

On, 15th March 2024 I launched EVSGuide.com (EV’s Guide). Here I will write about electric vehicle’s issues, solutions, reviews, guides etc.

After buying Aventon Level.2 Now I’m able to 1 hour daily and utilising it in my blog.

My Mission/Plans

My journey from a frustrated commuter to the founder of EVSGuide.com has been nothing short of transformative. It’s a testament to the power of passion, innovation, and the belief that small actions can lead to significant change in environment.

As I look back on how it all started—a fleeting moment on a congested street, a glimpse of a silent electric scooter—I’m reminded that sometimes, inspiration strikes when we least expect it. And when it does, it has the power to spark a revolution.

My mission is to create a community not a blog website to help people in choosing right electric vehicles according to their needs.

I wanted to do this as full time job so that it can be my main source of income and give you best information about EV’s.
